Honouring violence

BBC News – Genghis Khan sculpture unveiled at Marble Arch: The Mongol violence under Genghis Khan led to the deaths of 10 to 15 million people. But, hey, let’s just pretend that doesn’t make him the worst kind of human being possible and build a cool statue to ‘honour’ a ‘warrior’. Dashi Namdakov is an incredibly skilled sculptor, but should really be ashamed of himself for producing a piece that honours violence, not virtue.
