You don’t let murderers teach children

BBC News – Oldham school planned with all ex-forces staff:

“The elements of the armed forces we really want to instil in the pupils are the core values of the Army,” says Capt Burki. “Courage, discipline, respect for others, integrity, loyalty and selfless commitment.”

The army only exists because of the fact that many people believe to be true the false premise that the initiation of force is neccessary to make the world a better place, and is therefore virtuous. Its members believe that it is ‘heroic’ to commit acts of mass murder in foreign lands and give shiny medals to those who do it most efficiently. Teaching these falsehoods to children is monstrous and is abuse. Their minds will be torn asunder trying to resolve the contradiction between what their teachers say and what they do.

Their teachers will preach courage, but will not be courageous: it is not courageous to murder people. They will instill ‘discipline’ by using humiliation and abuse as punishments. As people who have actively participated in the slaughter of thousands of innocent men, women and children, they will preach respect for others and integrity but be devoid of both. They will preach loyalty but act with none to truth, reason and evidence. They will preach selflessness, but a selfless person, by definition, does not murder people.
